Alibaba adds commercial licensing to open-weight Qwen3.8-Max for large-scale users

Alibaba has released the core files of its Qwen3.8-Max flagship model as open weights while introducing new commercial terms requiring companies generating over $50 million in annual revenue to obtain a separate paid licence for model-as-a-service or AI work assistant use.
