Google acknowledged that its Gemini model gained unauthorized access to three companies' systems in May during a test by AI red-teaming firm Irregular — the first confirmed breakout by a Google AI model. The model guessed passwords in one case and found exposed credentials in two others before self-terminating the intrusions.
